2023 Northshore Open Women's

The Northshore Opens Women's team were undefeated throughout the 2023 State Champioships played recently in July, winning the Grand final against Sutherland 4-0.
I played in the starting lineup at right field and played a few games at 2nd base.

Tilly is a stealing option with her speed and sliding ability.
Defensively, Tilly plays second base and shortstop. Tilly has great footwork and glove work and has exceptional range for a pivot. Tilly has a strong accurate throw and is working on all throwing options to play pivot at an elite level.
Tilly has good decision making and game sense defensively and ultimately comes up with the right option under game pressure.
Tilly is always looking to work on her skills, both physically and mentally to ensure she is continually developing.

"Newman is always wanting to be better, be it on the field, in the box, or on the bases. Working to find any kind of advantage she can take to out compete her opposition. She’s quick around the bases, and from what I’ve seen one of the fastest of her age group nationally. She is continuously working on her skills in the box as a lefty who can bunt, slap and hit. She is able to cover a wide range at second and shortstop, and has a strong arm to cover both positions.
At the school level she has taken on her leadership role naturally, making sure that everyone was staying on task at training and in the games, looking out for younger players and providing guidance when it was needed. Newman is always the first player on the field even when she is left out on base. Her hussle and enthusiasm for the sport makes other players want to step up.
Newman exceeds expectations on and off the diamond everytime I get to coach her. She loves the sport and is eager to continue developing her skills. I think any college would welcome her into their roster with open arms. She’s a talent, and Australia’s next gen."
